Andromeda Operating System
Rumours say that Google is working on a new operating system with the codename Andromeda OS. Looking closer it could be a hybrid OS between Android OS and Chrome OS.
Hiroshi Lockheimer, the Senior Vice President of Android, Chrome OS and google Play tweeted the following cryptic message on 24th September: "We announced the 1st version of Android 8 years ago today. I have a feeling 8 years from now we'll be talking about Oct 4, 2016." - Source @lockheimer. It can be expected that Google will reveal more informations on October 4th during the event to present new hardware in San Francisco.
The Andromeda project was never officially announced or released thereafter. Many of the concepts and ideas associated with Andromeda might have been integrated or further developed in other Google products and projects.
